Drink Water, Feed Your Mind

Imagine what would happen if you stopped showering, eating, and brushing your teeth. You probably wouldn’t have much friends and you wouldn’t be living a healthy lifestyle. Most people do the latter but neglect the most important task of feeding their mind with positive and developing material everyday.

So you say you do shower, eat, and brush your teeth everyday so why wouldn’t you feed your mind intellectual messages everyday. Tom Corley, on his website RichHabitsInstitute.com, outlines a few of the differences between the habits of the rich and the poor. I’ve selected a few that relates to this blog, feel free to view the complete list afterwards.

“88% of wealthy read 30 minutes or more each day for education or career reasons vs. 2% of poor.”

“63% of wealthy listen to audio books during commute to work vs. 5% of poor people.”

“86% of wealthy love to read vs. 26% of poor.”

“86% of wealthy believe in lifelong educational self-improvement vs. 5% of poor.”

Now I’m going to attempt to cluster as many clichés together to emphasize my point. “If you can’t beat them, join them”, ” Monkey see monkey do”, “When in Rome do as the Romans”, etc. Reading and learning will open doors in your mind that you never knew you had. Learning to read was the first baby step African-American slaves took towards freedom. Self made millionaires equip themselves with Knowledge and then they take action.

Don’t continue to struggle mentally, physically, financially or spiritually. Plan and react to what you are learning. Taking action is just as important as learning. This message applies to everybody in different walks of life. Whatever you are going through, somebody has already been there. There is a way out, you will be the conqueror. Take a baby step, and educate yourself. Take care of your mind, and your mind will take care off you. All you have to do is take action.
